Our Elegant Cupcake was Published in Get Married Magazine

We just got our advance copy and are thrilled to be included in the Fall issue of Get Married magazine. The article is on elegant cupcakes. We will post the magazine page tomorrow, but we included our picture of the cupcake tonight!! Bridal Shower Cupcakes with Lavender Fondant Flower

We made these bridal shower cupcakes today for our client. They were a mix of pink champagne with vanilla buttercream and red velvet with cream cheese icing. We topped each with a delicate lavender fondant flower. The wedding cake will be delivered in September.

Soccer Ball Groom's Cake

We delivered this groom's cake to the Newark Club (Newark, NJ) today for a soccer enthusist groom. The entire "soccer ball" and "grass" are cake. This was an encore design.

New Moon Tulip in Sugar

From sugar, we recreated the tulip from the cover on the Twilight New Moon book --which is actually a ruffled or parrot tulip. It's blood red design is striking and quite beautiful.

Topsy Turvy Sweet Sixteen Cake

This sassy topsy turvy cake is for a Sweet 16 celebration. The young lady loves music, so therefore the musical notes on the top tier. She also wanted a fun feel to the cake, so we added zebra stripes. The bow is a nod to her girly side.

Open Bible Christening Cake

We created another open bible cake -- for a baptism this time around. Everything is edible. The text is in light blue with a matching light blue bookmark and accented with a gold cross. Sugar beads lay across the "book".

This cake is for a Villa Nova graduation as indicated by the school's "V" logo and blue and white colors. Everything is edible including the sugar diploma on the base and the sugar bow. The graducation cap is made of cake the tassel is sugar.

Sweet Grace, Cake Designs Full-Page Feature in (201) Bride Magazine!

We are thrilled to have a full-page feature in (201) Bride Magazine! We were asked to design a cake around The Princess and the Pea fairytale. Every bride wants a fairytale wedding, but today that “story” is told with elegance and sophistication. We’ve created a fairytale cake for a contemporary bride -- with clean lines and a fun twist on this classic tale.

Each tier is embossed with myriad patterns to represent the tower of mattress from the story. Sugar flowers proliferate the cake -- all which gives the impression of peas – sweet peas and tendrils (they have a pea shape in the center of the flower which is then covered by three petals, which is very like a pea under all the mattresses) and a succulent named string of pearls (which looks like a vine of peas, but are very delicate and pretty). The cake sits on a silk skirted base to represent the bedskirt. The tier heights vary to give further visual interest to the cake.

The first picture is a scan from the magazine (we'll try to get a clearer image to post) and the second one is one we took.

The Wedding Cake Looks Stunning at the Reception....

The reception decor was stunning with white flowers adding softness and candles lighting up the room. The cake was circled with white rose petals.

Large Wedding = Extremely Large Wedding Cake!!

This extremely large wedding cake is almost too heavy to lift (thank goodness for the almost!!) -- serving 210 guests. It's a beautiful design of teal fondant with chocolate colored accents. The five tiers have varying heights for interest.
